“Howdy! My name is Sydney Gabelman, I am originally from the Pacific Northwest maritime city of Gig Harbor, Washington, and transplanted myself in College Station, Texas back in 2015 to attend Texas A&M University. What started as a quest for some sunshine with a fascination for medicine, the biological world, and the habit of creating art in tow, eventually morphed and bloomed into a passion for romanticizing life and translating abstract concepts into concrete visualizations.
I branched out from one institution heavily rooted in tradition to another, as my constant designing eventually led to a chance tattoo apprenticeship opportunity. Through which, I further discovered my passions and found my fit in this world at the intersection of art, biology, individuality, and the human condition. After graduating in 2019 with a degree in the science of Sociology, I forged a position for myself in the tattoo industry and opened The Vault Tattoo & Design Studio, LLC to intentionally create a space of authenticity and respect for genuine self-expression through artistry.

The Booking Process

Booking is broken down into 3 categories, consult with Sydney in-person or over message to determine your ideal fit for new or ongoing projects. Guests are allowed in-session and always fun for moral support and entertainment while you get poked! I will have select refreshments in the shop for us, but please bring hydration, snacks, and be sure to eat a decent meal before coming in. (As well as refraining from any blood thinning medication and numbing agents 24 hours prior, as we will need to reschedule if either is on board)
You are welcome to move through our session however you prefer! This is your experience, and I am happily along for the ride with whatever vibe you want to bring in for our time together. Everyone is unique, and no two sessions are the same; I am open to chat, exchange stories, listen to audiobooks or music (independently or together), independently dissociate in silence, or any custom mix that is idyllic for you.
